Personal Statement : My focus is building a virtual REX team that is strong, complimentary and resilient so our client base continues to grow, and remain in REX until they retire. My special talent for REX is based on consulting experience with about 800 organizations in 34 industries, non profits and government in 9 countries over 45 years PLUS my avid reading of management/business/human research in relevant books, magazines and specialized journals to extract significant ideas, insights, tools, and methods that are relevant to our members. Then to convert them into digestible chunks, re purposed for the club industry that give our members powerful points of leverage to achieve the REX Purpose. My purpose in life is to teach-show people how to improve their work and life. I am likely to continue pursuing my purpose and talent with REX indefinitely-as Eddie Tock becomes CEO and the team below allows REX to prosper and each person to realize their own talents and goals.

Personal Statement : Eddie is the President of REX Roundtables, a global organization that runs Executive Mastermind roundtables for business owners and chief executives. There are currently 12 REX groups in the US, with 2 new REX groups starting within the next few months. Over 150 very successful club owners and executives currently belong to REX. Each REX Roundtable is made up of 15 to 18 non-competitive club owners that share BEST PRACTICES. REX has proven to be a highly effective way to rapidly produce significant improvements to revenue and profitability. Over the past 5 years, the top 25% of fitness businesses in a REX Roundtable have an average EBITDA of 24% to 40%, as compared to a 12% industry average. REX members include top clubs and organizations in our industry including David Patchell Evans of Goodlife, Joe Cirulli of Gainesville Health & Fitness, Philip Mills of Les Mills, Robert Brewster of Alaska Clubs to name a few. Brent Darden, outgoing Chairman of IHRSA, has recently joined the REX team to lead several groups. Eddie is an industry leader as a management, marketing and sales training consultant that specializes in relationship selling through delivering the highest quality of staff training, proven systems and innovative marketing programs. Ed has worked with over 1250 clubs worldwide including 140 pre sales since 1983. He has been a featured speaker at over 95 Club Industry Shows & IHRSA Conventions, regional conferences, the IHRSA Institute. He had been a senior partner in Sales Makers for 21 years that was a winner of IHRSA Associate member of the Year!

Some say Justin is a visionary, selling his club before the global financial crisis of 2008, others say . . . “He was just lucky!” After starting in the fitness industry in 1989 as gym instructor and personal trainer, Justin has managed and owned fitness clubs since 1990! In that time he has opened 2 green field clubs, purchased 2 clubs, rescued members from 4 clubs that went broke and sold both of his clubs – the full gambit of business! Justin is now the Managing Director of Active Management. He consults with fitness businesses worldwide in everything from start up & design to marketing & sales systems. He also facilitates 4 Australian and New Zealand Fitness Round Tables which allows him to see a huge cross section of business models. Since 1998, he has been an International Presenter, speaking on everything business in 12 countries and being invited back on numerous occasions. Justin received the 2006 Fitness Australia Presidential Award, the 2008 Australian Fitness Network Presenter of the Year and the 2008 FitnessNSW Contribution to the Fitness Industry Award. Personal Statement : Vice President of Merritt Athletic Clubs with over 15 years of experience at the Senior Management level; Mr. Miller joined the Merritt Team in 2000 as Regional Fitness Director responsible for all Fitness and programming Operations. Since that time he has moved into a strategic role of Vice president. In this capacity Mr. Miller is responsible for all the day to day management and operations of all clubs.
